DOA = Design Organization Approval is the title awarded by EASA, and necessary to consider aircraft design in Europe
This is why the Soyons site has undertaken a major investment to obtain this new approval, the DOA (or PART 21 J), a process which will impact our entire Design Office in Soyons and Riom, thus strengthening synergy between our two entities.
Obtaining the DOA will expand our certification capabilities, allowing us to file new STCs in the field of NVIS, increase our autonomy thanks to the privileges granted by EASA for all aeronautical equipment and open new commercial opportunities in the Aerospace sector.
Our goal is to finalize the process before the end of 2024, and we are delighted to announce that the project has been officially approved by EASA with the appointment of a DOA Team Leader on January 7, 2024, demonstrating the confidence of EASA in our approach.
In accordance with the EASA process, the project will proceed in 5 stages, including the review of our design manual and associated procedures, as well as an EASA audit following a pilot project demonstrating the successful application of our procedures.
The Kick-Off Meeting was held on January 29 in Cologne, marking the start of this exciting adventure. We have already submitted our design manual to EASA to progress to the next stage.
We would like to warmly thank all the NSE teams involved in this project for their hard work and commitment. It is thanks to their dedication that we are able to successfully complete each step of this process.
We are confident that obtaining DOA will strengthen our position as a trusted partner in the aerospace industry and enable us to continue providing you with superior solutions.
