As part of the deployment of its operational strategy as well as in order to answer the demand from OEMs both in aerospace and medical industries, NSE Automatech has completed its first round of investment to increase capacity and modernize its operations.
1.
NSE Automatech completed the acquisition and deployment of a new machine combining turning & milling operations thus reducing the number of set-ups required to manufacture complex and high precision parts.
The new machine was deployed in 2022 and has been in operation since 04. Jan 2023.
We made the choice to increase the automation capacity with a bar-feeder enabling us to position ourself better for volume production on multiple production shift.
Thanks to the preparation work that was done by industrialization & methods team, the transition has been performed within a few weeks including production improvements within the defined schedule.
This new machine enables the company to not only increase its capacity but also provide a better control on complex parts production and cycle times.
2.
As part of NSE Automatech know-how in complex and high precision part production, the decision was made to increase its CNC Wire EDM production cell.
This type of machining is required in multiple operations in order to produce and assemble robot-assisted surgery instruments as well as Aerospace flying and Ground Support Equipment parts, due to their precise dimensions and diameters.
Following the acquisition in 2020 of a Fanuc i600 Wire EDM, NSE Automatech added a second one in January 2023, doubling its capacity in 2 years.
This will enable our organization to increase the manufacturing capacity for high precision parts requiring diameters as small as 0.40 mm with +/- 0.0001 inch precision which are required for critical final assemblies.
The upgraded production cell now consists of 4 EDM Wire and 1 plunger with 95% availability on 2 shifts.
